Ready or not... here they come!
 Outside bulletin board!

Good morning 2nd grade!

I will add the title , headings and information about castles during a nonfiction text lesson!

7 Habit display!!

When they leave the room!

The first fairy tale we are going to do is the Princess and the Pea!
We have lots of versions to read and compare! You can see last year's royal family composite to the right.

This is going to be a time line of the year!
I will post photos of all our adventures!

Above small group table... set goals.. dream big.... and
BELIEVE!
We are going to hang our SMART goal stars here!

Mirror, Mirror!

For our anchor charts and work! Tinkerbell is in upper left for encouragement!

I painted an old bench for students to sit on during stations...
the  middle says........... Turn your can'ts  into cans and your dreams into plans!

Fairy tale behavior chart.... and words for the writing station!

Your room is ADORABLE! Do you have any tips for making your big bulletin board characters, like the dragons?

I use soft pastels...chalk. I draw it (or if you have a projector pull it up on the board and trace it) then I outline it with black- next I turn the chalk on its side and cover the area with it- rub it in with your fingers- shade with some black... shake off extra chalk- spray it with hairspray and laminate- then cut out! I use a gum eraser for mess ups!

This is so wonderful, great to see a teacher really committed to a very important job. The difference you can make to people's lives by putting your heart and soul into your work is immeasurable. I bet you enjoy the job a lot more, too :)
